About Us:

In early 1993 the late, Ill. Weldon Good, 33rd of the Tulsa Valley in Oklahoma created a body that he had hoped would help to bolster the load for his Scottish Rite officers. He saw a need for assistance during reunions and noticed that Masons were joining the Scottish Rite but not returning to help and participate in subsequent reunions. To rectify this,the organization known as the KNIGHTS OF ST. ANDREW was created as a service group for his valley.

In 2023 the Valley of Harrisburg was open minded to the formation of the same type of service organization within its jurisdiction. Commander-In-Chief, Lynn B. Baker and Valley Secretary, John D. Cook sought to help their members with the efforts of energetic 32-degree Master Masons. Luckily, one such mason did exist. Brother Joseph C. Reuter, 32-degree member had approached the valley leadership with his vision of this exact same service. The Harrisburg Clan of the Knights of Saint Andrew was born of these desires.

Today, the valley has more than 40 members who work tirelessly on behalf of their brethren. Membership is comprised mainly of 32-degree Master Masons but also includes 33-degree Masons as well. Those brethren are involved in more of a Mentoring role and cannot hold offices or head committees. The Charter group of men for the Harrisburg Valley clan will stand at 32 members, quite a fitting number for this service to the valley.

The responsibilities innate to this group of elite masons includes: Greeting and working as registration assistants for the valley reunions, participating in degrees, transporting brothers to and from masonic events at the consistory, Recruiting future AASR and KSA members at Blue lodges within the valley. Helping as needed in many other areas as our valley leadership sees fit and Providing charitable donations for several such organizations which hold dear to our masonic virtues.

The future of our Valley is strong and shall remain so thanks in part to the addition of the Knights of Saint Andrew. This groups tremendous efforts are being recognized as easily as their Green shirts. Together with the support of the Valley leadership, the members of the Knights of Saint Andrew are making a noticeable difference.
